Paintsville got a huge win last week in an instant classic game over Pikeville. It may have come at a big cost with RB Kent Phelps getting injured and missing a big part of that game. Kash Daniel put the team on his back to get the Pikeville win but can he carry the load by himself if Phelps is out? What is the status of Phelps? For those who might not know, Ridgeview is a new school in southwestern Virginia. It is a consolidation of Clintwood and Haysi High Schools. They are in Class 2A in Virginia and are in a conference (district) with Central-Wise, Gate City, Union, and a few others that appear semi-regularly on eastern Kentucky high school schedules.
