Big NKY games this week

SK beat Ryle 2-1 in a hard fought game by both teams

Who is playing well? Any players evolving into impact players to replace the injured ones?

Do you see any team in NKY that can compete with NDA?

Absolutely there are a couple younger girls developing into impact players. The two that scored in the St Ursula game are definately stepping up. One had 2 goals and an assist and the other sophmore had the first goal for ND from downtown. I think there are alot of teams in NKY that can compete with ND. It's girls soccer. Anything can happen. Just my opinion.

Who are the freshman and sophomores stepping up for NDA? Saw they made a gker change seems to help them from giving up goals.

I don't like to post girls names on here. The 2 sophmores I'm referring to can be found in the box score from the ND vs St. Ursula game.

Scoreboard

As far as the keeper change I'm really not sure. NDA travels to Zionsville for a couple games this weekend against some good competition. Hopefully they can keep rolling.

Thought this score would have been a little higher since SK was catching Ryle on the backend of back to back games. HHS 4 Ryle 1. Looks like they are scoring big against the weaker teams and not as strong as you might think.

Ryle's only score on HHS was on a PK for a silly foul in the box.

Rylie's keeper made several great saves and a couple of SK's shots went off the crossbar or upright. Ryle's goals and one of SK's goals came off of PKs.

Ryle may have been coming off of 4 games in 5 day stretch but I thought they played with lots of energy.

Heard someone at the game say in the first half SK hit the post 3 times and missed a few breakaways then had a pk called on them late in the first. Then battled back to get two in the second. Not a program with much history so I imagine some kids are learning how to win. I guess they still have some work to do but to have only conceded two goals and both on pks that is not easy. Ryle is a good team and I am sure like most play better at home.

Again the pk streak lives on. Never seen or heard of so many in all the years. Don't like to hear when given on soft or just not fouls. I know of 3 that were definitely not pk's for and against.
