GRC is coming off a very tough loss at home to Anderson County, 27-26. Henry Clay lost 40-13 to St. Xavier at Lexington Catholic.

GRC has lost 5 straight to Henry Clay. GRC's last victory came in 2009 at Henry Clay by a score of 12-6.

Your thoughts.

My prediction

GRC 21

Henry Clay 20

I think this is a very win-able game for the Cards. They had a great showing in their opening game vs. Anderson County (Minus the two pix-sixes), so if they can make those adjustments this game can be won.

Henry Clay is going to be up for this game after getting whipped by St. Xavier the week before so they will be fired up. Cards must strike first and neutralize the long passes from the HC QB.

My prediction

GRC 21

Henry Clay 20

Will HC use the Betsy play? For those that don't know what it is can you tell them where it came from?

Ahhhh, the Betsy Joyce play. It was a special play named after Coach Joyce's wife.

Maybe

Henry Clay's quarterbacks have not thrown long passes.

Henry Clay running back Joquise Buford will again sit out his second straight game for a disciplinary action.

I would think Henry Clay will be hard for GRC to beat at home.

They haven't thrown long passes yet. I fully expect them to air it out more this Friday.

Buford will be missed. Who will we see get the bulk of carries for HC?

I'll predict Henry Clay in a close game, 24-21. The Devils should fix the mistakes they made against St. X and make a stronger showing here.

#2 Austin Bledsoe ran for significant yardage against St. X.
