Anderson Co. lost one of their starting lineman for the year in the first 3 minutes of the game. He played both O and D line. Hate it for this young man.

 

As for the rest of the game, it was ugly. AC needs to clean some things up on both sides of the ball. This is a fairly young team that will get better as the year goes on.

 

Ryan Martin is one of the better running backs I have seen in a while. He took a KO to the house for a TD and had another run of 50 plus yards for a TD where he broke the ankles of about every defensive back SO had.

 

Congrats to the Bearcats.

Hated to see the young man get hurt like that. Heard is was pretty serious but hopefully he will recover and move forward.

 

As for South Oldham, they are a very young team as well. At some point in the game, Sophomore's were playing QB, one RB spot, both WR's and a lineman. There were Juniors in as well. That's just the offensive side of the ball. Defense had their share of Sophomore's and Juniors also. There are lots of things to work on for the Dragons and the team will get better. It was an outing that had its positives, though, and am confident the coaching staff is already working on fixing the flaws.

 

Congrats on the win to the Bearcats and look forward to some great battles in the Game of Thrones rivalry in the future. Both teams will get better.
