Yellow Card
Only 3 coaches voting the first go around, IMO, no big surprises in the poll. KY Boys Soccer: Preseason Poll 1. Covington Catholic ( 3 ) 30 2. St. Henry 27 3. Brossart 21 4. Ryle 19 5. Newport Catholic 17 6. Cooper 16 7. Highlands 14 8. Scott 8 9. Conner 7 10. Dixie Heights 2 10. Walton-Verona 2 Others: Boone County 1, Simon Kenton
imsays
The surprise after last nights result would be St Henry second.
groinpull
Brossart third is a surprise too but we'll see. Highlands and Connor should be higher IMO. As always, I don't put a whole lot of stock in these polls, especially early.
flops&hacks
It's way to early for anyone to know how good anyone will be. This might as well say #1 Cov Cath then pretty much a blind draw. Imo there are a bunch of teams in a cluster that will battle for second all year. I think the next 6 teams could all compete for the title come the end of the year. Give it a few weeks and teams will have found out who they are and where they stand....
Oldtimebaseball84
So if only 3 voted, what are the numbers next to each team? In understand the # in "()" represents the first place votes, but what are the other numbers?
Yellow Card
Total points received. 10 for 1st, 9 for 2nd, 8 for 3rd, etc... St Henry having 27 points, would mean that all 3 coaches voted them as the second best team.
tcjkbt
Northern Kentucky must be strong this year.
