LRCW
PAINTSVILLE As Paintsville put together its breakout season last fall, one piece of its ongoing resurgence was absent. Kent Phelps, the Tigers’ leading rusher as a freshman in 2013, missed all of his sophomore season recovering from surgery to repair his injured right labrum. His lost year coincided with Paintsville’s 10-3 2014 campaign. What was watching that like? “Kent is really excited about football this year,” Tigers coach Joe Chirico said. “He sat a whole year just watching, and it drove him crazy. “He was here at every practice, watched every game, every practice, the whole time last year. You could see it in his eyes how hurt he was, but he couldn’t help that. Just had a tough injury that had to be fixed.” But Phelps is excited about the payoff as Paintsville anticipates the potential of a truly special season. Watusi
Good article. I am probably more excited about Paintsville in 2015 than anyone else in EKY. I'm really pulling for them to do something special.
