NC public school conferences unanimously drop Catholic school from schedule

It has been semi mentioned earlier I believe. But Beechwood and Highlands both draw students from wealthier neighborhoods (Fort Mitchell and Fort Thomas, respectively). This is a big factor. I would venture to say that their average income of their students families is much closer to the Catholic schools than the other local schools. Wealthier neighborhoods often mean a better overall background for the student/athlete. A rural county school with 500 boys usually will not have a strong of an overall athletic program as a developed suburban school of the same size. There are exceptions but this seems to be the overall norm.

Because most the top players in college come from wealthy backrounds?

What decisions like this does is make excuses for not winning instead of trying harder to actually win.
