Bear goes for a swim in the pool

Black Bears, in most cases are extremely tame, considering the fact that they are a bear. Unless you have food nearby or they are extremely hungry, they will typically look at you and smell of you from a distance and move along their way. I've been within 50 feet of a black bear twice, both times they looked over at us and put their nose in the air, then continued the same direction there were headed. Honestly, unless starved or aggitated, they wont bother you.

I have several useless comments (as usual) about this story:

The babysitter is not bad...little Nicholai is going to have babysitter issues when he gets older.

Shouldn't the gate on the pool be closed? Not that it would keep a bear out, but I would consider this a warning shot...could have been a child in the pool.

I have never seen a bear outside of a zoo.
