Highlands suffered from injuries early in 2014 going 0-6-3 in the first half of the season before finishing strong with a 9-3-2 run to end 2014. They return 7 starters including seniors Brady Gesenhuse, Noah Sellers, Mark Baron, Ben Schweitzer and Ben Seiter, along with junior Colton Wagoner and sophmore Drew Rom. Gesenhuse, Schweitzer and Sellers led scoring with 5 goals apiece followed by Colton Wagoner with 4 goals and 5 assists. A strong incoming Junior class will help HHS complete its reload to try to recapture it's form from 2013 when it advanced to states but lost to PL Dunbar in the quarterfinals.

Who do they have to play between the pipes this year? Give us the name of some juniors to watch out for.

I believe it will be either Frink, or Tully, in goal. Both are Juniors, this also assumes they both came back out this year and that there are no younger goalies that could move in front of them.

Frink and Tully sounds right in goal. They split time at JV and I could see that happening again. Freshman goalie from last year transferred to St. X (Cinci) I believe.

Other Seniors, Juniors and potentially even Sophmores will stand up and compete for starting positions and playing time in the field. I expect that will all come into focus as the season gets under way.

Highlands has a good freshman goalie trying out. I think he will land on the jv but he could give the upperclassmen a challenge.

Gabbard?

Will Burnham is the freshman goalie and he did make JV. Raw talent with some polishing could be very good. Very good size and good reactions.

What club does he play for? I know that a couple of kids in the Freshman class came from KHA Blue, KH Crew, and NKSA Strikers U-14. Pretty good overall class as they seem to be spread over all positions and not a high concentration of center mids and the like.

They also have Nick Fischer who is an 8th grader that is a good goalie. Good to have talent and depth coming up.
