Remember, your words can wound. This boy has a great attitude and obviously a lot of support to help him. But this isn't true for many. And before you say he needs to be tougher (or people need to be tougher), we ALL have things about us that others can be cruel about. So do our family....our children, fathers, mothers....the pen (or keyboard) and words cause many troubles if not used with care and consideration. How people feel about what you say DOES MATTER.

You need no more evidence of the evil and hate in this world than people making hurtful comments toward an 11 year old boy. Often times I wish the internet had never been invented.

Some people are just scum. And I bet dollars to doughnuts many of the posters that made derogatory comments were adults. It's bad enough when kids do it, but unfortunately until they mature some kids will act that way and they should be dealt with accordingly when they do. Adults on the other hand...would love to line them up against a wall and slap them around a little.
