June 28, 201511 yr Parts of Kentucky at the moment are in a slight risk area for strong to severe storms Monday afternoon. The main threats look to be damaging winds and large hail. After possible morning showers clear the area we could see the redevelopment of strong to severe storms during the afternoon hours. These storms look to be isolated or widely scattered in nature.
June 28, 201511 yr Ummm, you should know better by now. I golf on Monday nights. Need it dry from 5-8 please.

June 29, 201511 yr Author The only real change since last night is that the tornado threat has increased some. The cities in the area with the best chance to maybe see a tornado or two are Cincinnati, Lexington, Covington, Maysville, Huntington, WV and parts inbetween. Now this doesn't mean that there will be one but the threat is there. These cities are also in a slight risk area for strong to severe storms. Most of the rest of the state is in the marginal risk area. The timing is still uncertain and I'll update as soon as I can.
June 29, 201511 yr Author Just a quick update on the timing. Those in the slight risk area have a 40% chance of strong to severe storms this afternoon between 12-8 pm EDT. I'll be back with another update about 1 pm or so.
June 29, 201511 yr Author Correction on the timing it is between 4-8 pm this afternoon. Forgot the time used for the weather is UTC time and I didn't convert it correctly.
June 29, 201511 yr Author Afternoon update: Everything is just about the same as what was posted this morning. Really no changes. Everyone keep an eye on the weather especially in central and northern Kentucky and southern Ohio. Those in EKY should watch also. The tornado threat should lessen as the storms move toward WVA.
June 29, 201511 yr Author Storms are starting to fire up. Severe Thunderstorm warning for Jefferson Co. Parts of NEKY should really keep an eye on the weather. They are watching that area now because that area now has the greatest risk for a brief tornado.
