nWo Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 The Cincinnati/NKY area is in the marginal risk area for isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms on Friday. The main threats from any storm that may are damaging winds and hail up to 1" in diameter. There is also low risk for tornadoes. As of now, it looks like these possible storms will occur during the afternoon hours. The timing is still uncertain and I will update in the morning.
nWo Posted June 12, 2015 Author Posted June 12, 2015 Friday morning update: A little more of NKY is now in the marginal risk area for today. As of this morning the timing for these possible storms is later this afternoon in the the night time hours. Heavy rain, damaging winds and hail seems to be the main threats. There is a low risk for tornadoes but one or two are still possible. The rest of Kentucky will be looking at widely scattered thunderstorms during the afternoon hours. We are entering a period of a lot of tropical moisture coming into Kentucky from the south so we could see the chance for showers and storms for the next few days. I'll update later today.
nWo Posted June 12, 2015 Author Posted June 12, 2015 Mid morning update: the marginal risk area has been moved north some but still includes Cincinnati. As of this moment the timing of these possible storms is in the 4pm- 8pm time slot.

nWo Posted June 12, 2015 Author Posted June 12, 2015 Storms are starting to form west of Cincinnati. Looks like the 4 pm timeline maybe a good bet. A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for areas of Ohio just north of the Cincinnati metro area.

plantmanky Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Something just blew through Blue Ash, by the time I realized it was raining it was over.
plantmanky Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 It just started pouring again in Blue Ash and I mean by the water truck pouring. I just saw ducks swimming in the parking lot.
