June 7, 201511 yr Gotcha. My apologies for reading too much into it. Sadly, I do hear people use the, "better hope they never need us, see how fast I respond then" type thing. Ironically, it's often from people wondering why the public they deal with has a negative attitude toward them. No apologies necessary. I've heard similar comments from some professionals, not police officers, and it is depressing.
June 7, 201511 yr As for me--you know nothing about me personally. When I deal with the police I treat them with the same respect that I do anyone else that I do in my daily life. They're just trying to do a job like anyone else. You are correct, I know nothing of you personally. There is, however, a certain amount of dislike for law enforcement that comes through in your posts. I don't like bad cops. Not all cops that shoot or strike someone are bad cops. I don't like bad firefighters, paramedics, doctors, nurses, attorney's, sanitation workers, cooks, waiters, etc., etc.
