The following coroners are out of date with their state-required training:

 

Cumberland Co. Coroner Gary White-Last Training: July 21, 2012

Knox Co. Coroner Mike Blevins-Last Training: November 20, 2013 ** All Deputy Coroners expired

Lawrence Co. Coroner Lawrence Wilson-Last Training: September 23, 2008

Letcher Co. Coroner Marty Baker-Last Training: December 6, 2013

Lewis Co. Coroner Anthony Gaydos-Last Training: October 23, 2013

Pike Co. Coroner Russell Roberts-Last Training: November 9, 2011

Whitley Co. Coroner J. Andy Croley-Last Training: November 28, 2012

Wolfe Co. Coroner J. Frank Porter-Last Training: September 22, 2005

Wilder said they try to eliminate those types of issues by moving meeting locations.

 

"We try to off the training strategically around the state so it's not a hardship for the coroner to get to," said Wilder.

 

Looks as if the real problem is that the "training" is run by the State and like much of the state training is located at various state parks and probably is something that could be done via webex....but then we would expect the State of Ky to be behind the curve on that wouldn't we ? Also appears that there is no substitute for this training, it must be the State training. Typical government gears grinding....
