George Rogers Clark High School basketball standout Damion King signed with Thomas More College Tuesday in the school library. King was joined from left, by brother Dariel King, father Dee King and mother Vache King. King was an all-region performer and scored more than a 1,000 points in his three-year career with the Cardinals. Clark coach Scott Humphrey said Thomas More is a good fit for King. “He carries himself the right way on and off the court and exactly the way a student-athlete should do so. Thomas More is going to find out like we have in the past that he’s not only a great player, but an even better person,” he said. “Talent alone will not get you into (Thomas More). Their graduates are highly recruited. In talking to the coaches, I can’t tell you how excited they are to add Damion (to the program).” King thanked “God first, and my family, friends and teammates for supporting me.”

One of my favorite to wear the GRC Red and black. He is such a humble kid with a great work ethic. Doesn't show much emotion but will give you 110% on both ends of the floor. Such a great kid on and off the court and in the classroom. Thomas Moore got a steal with this young man, he is very coachable and will thrive there. So very proud of him.
