Warriors with rest and Grizzlies w/o Conley; Memphis wasn't going to win this one.

 

I guess I'm an old basketball purist. I hate the notion of shot clocks in high school (don't think a lot of them in college). I enjoy a well-executed backdoor cut; an extra pass to get a little bit better shot.

 

With something like 4 minutes left in the third quarter, Steph Curry made as sweet a basketball play as I've seen in a month of Sundays. Crossover dribble that left a defender's jock around his ankles, step back for a 3. The shot was so perfect that the net never moved. I thought it was an airball, Purest shot I'll see all year.

Warriors cause serious problems in matching up. Z-Bo will figure it out a bit as the series goes on, but he had serious trouble dealing with Draymond Green. Calathes can't deal with Curry at all, but who can?

 

Without Conley to slow things down some, this will be a quick series.

I'd say a Warriors sweep is likely.

Golden State in four or five.
