#1 McCracken County hosted #24 University Heights in Paducah tonight. McCracken scored 2 in the 1st, 7 in the 2nd, and 1 each in the 3rd, and 4th innings. The Mustangs Jenny Chapman gave up a lead off single in the 1st then held UHA hitless until she gave up a lead off HR in the 4th, walked the next batter, then struck out the side. She also struck out the side in the 3rd inning.

McCracken County will play #6 Anderson County on May 7th in the Best of the West at Buchanon Park in Bowling Green. And the winner will play the winner of Male and Madisonville North Hopkins who are in the same pool. Good teams playing good teams is what it's all about. Should be some great games and getting the teams ready for districts, regions, and state.

How many short games has McCracken won this year?

12.

^ That's a lot.

Good stuff Old One. Congrats on the 1st post, don't be a stranger. :thumb:

Both hits for UHA were by their lead off hitter (#4 C.Cansler). She had two very impressive AB's. Hard liner to left field, and then a no doubter HR into a stiff wind. Chapman's pitching effieciency and the mercy rule didn't allow Cansler an opportunity for a 3rd plate appearance.

C. Cansler is a good player she has an offer to Austin Peay to play softball.

Great for this young lady!! Good luck to her for the rest of this season and in her future. Thanks for the info.

Congrats to MS Cansler. Chapman doesn't give up many HR's let alone multiple hits to the same hitter. I believe Chapman has committed to Louisiana Tech. But she will be back pitching for McCracken next year, along with Dodd and Ridolfi.
