Ouch - fan hit in head at Cubs/Pirates

I don't think I have ever been to a Florence Freedom game where someone did not get clocked by a foul ball.

They're need in college stadiums due to the aluminum bats. One of these days they'll switch.

When the BBCOR bats were introduced to college baseball in 2011, the number of home runs hit dropped to levels below what they were with wooden bats in the early 70s. The thing is dead as hell. Wooden bats would be more lively than the aluminum bats they use, now.

The only reason home runs are up this year is because, this season, the NCAA adopted the minor league style baseball, which has lower seams.
