He pretty much has the fan base along with the basketball program trapped in his basement. Sorry if any of that offends you, but its the truth.

The annual "I am going to recruit over you to try and save my job" tactict from coach Crean. I really feel bad for the kids. Most of them probably had childhood dreams of playing for a school like Indiana, then once offered a scholarship their dreams came true. Only to be told a short time later to either become a walk on or transfer to make room for kids that they didn't have room for in the first place.

It's a good thing he makes a ton of money because if he manages his bank account anything like he does allotted scholarships, he would go broke from overdraft fees.

Completely different situation. Cal wanted Wiltjer to stay and didn't recruit more players than he had room for. Would Wiltjer be buried on the bench this year at Kentucky, sure. But he would have still had a scholarship in hand and a spot on the team. There is a big difference in yanking kids scholarships to make room for someone you hope is better. Compared to recruiting the best available with the number of scholarships you have available.
