Fox Creek Christian 69-First Baptist Lawrenceburg 62 (league championship game)

Featured Replies

I know this will get lost in the many regional game posts, but wanted to put this out there. Fox Creek Christian avenged their first league loss in two years by defeating the home team First Baptist, 69-62 in their church league championship game. I was too excited about the win to get all the stats after the game, but pf Zack Rice, pg Daniel Whalen, c Justin Ritchie, sf Tyler Harley, pf Logan Stevens and sg Derion Perry all had spurts of good play. Though we didn't play very well defensively overall, the offense picked it up and all mentioned scored several buckets with D. Whalen against running the point and playing good defense. This is back to back league championships for the Knights, and we have almost everyone coming back next year and should be even better.

Congrats on a great season!

Thanks 16th, appreciate that.

See that the pep talk after the loss to the same team 2 weeks ago worked. How was the FT shooting in this one?

Actually not great, but did hit some clutch ones late to seal it. Semi final game earlier in the morning we shot bad from the line again but held on for a 9 point win. FT's were'nt our friend this year.
