Seen a fair amount of discussion about this region in other threads. Thought it deserved its own. Looks like this:

 

District 3: Bardstown, Central, Henry, Moore, Thomas Nelson, & Waggener

District 4: Boyle, Garrard, LexCath, & Western Hills.

 

There will be some tough 2 vs. 3 matchups in the playoffs.

No joke... Maybe the toughest in KY Football.

Actually, 3 of the 4 regions in the 3A west Semi of region 1 and 2 are insane.

 

District 1 holds its weight and then some, IMO. Four of the five in that district own multiple state titles. Union County is the only one who doesn't have one, and they are far from a slouch. They have a Semi Final and multiple other playoff wins just in the last 6-7 years alone.

3A is definitely the deepest class in the new realignment.

Garrard is certainly no slouch...but It looks like a Battle Royale between the 3-headed monster of Lou Central, Boyle and Lex Cath. Rugged

Bardstown & Garrard are probably a notch behind those guys - BUT not by much. Both are capable of beating any of these teams, on a given night.

Definitely much respect for Garrard....they've definitely shown capabilities of beating alot of teams. Very well coached. However....in those districts...depth will be imperative. IMO, that's where Boyle, Central and Lex Cath will hold an advantage

That is a good point. I have heard Boyle had over 40 FRESHMAN on the team last year.

It's definitely gonna be a "gauntlet" to run.....for whoever comes out of it. Not only alot of talent...but a lot of great coaching staffs.
