Colonels_Wear_Blue Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Ethan Hawke and Denzel Washington Reteam on ?Magnificent Seven? (EXCLUSIVE) | Variety "It’s been over a decade since Ethan Hawke, Denzel Washington and director Antoine Fuqua patrolled the mean streets of Los Angeles in “Training Day,” and it looks like that team is looking to head to the Wild West for their next collaboration. Sources say the Oscar-nominated Hawke is in final negotiations to join Washington in MGM’s "Magnificent Seven" remake with Fuqua directing. Chris Pratt and Haley Bennett are also on board to star."
Colonels_Wear_Blue Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 As a whole, I'm pretty tired with all of the remake/reboot/sequel/prequel business that is washing over all of the Hollywood movie studios...but I'll admit, I love a good western, and I love the original "Magnificent Seven", along with Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai" which "Magnificent Seven" was adapted from. I'm kind of excited about this one.
Jim Schue Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Gosh, I thought we would be discussing the merits of the classic Clash tune.
UKMustangFan Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I remember they made a TV show or a mini-series of the Magnificent Seven some years back, didn't they? Starred Ron Perlman?
Getslow Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Remake of a remake? Is this like sending things through photocopiers over and over again? Each time it gets a little worse?
kyyank Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Why remake a classic? Also, I don't get the Ethan Hawke thing. He's never in much I would watch.
Godot Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Remake of a remake? Yeap, it's already been redone once.
