How were Romulus and Remus back in the day?

We used to ride in the bed of a pickup to a creek bed swimming hole and then we had to climb down a shale cliff to get to the water. Not to mention some of us could not swim. Not a life jacket in sight...

I can remember my dad letting me sit on his lap while he drove down Grand Avenue (Ft. Thomas) with a beer in his hand. He'd let me put my hands on the wheel so I could help "steer" down the windy road. Good times.

 

Oh wow! That brings back memories. My papaw(RIP) did the same thing . I loved it. Made me feel like such a grown up. He also would let me sit on the buffer(it was a big ole contraption) as he buffed the hallways at the church where he worked and where we attended. I was a little, little guy at that time.
