First round of the 2015 56th District Tournament at Owsley County High School on Wednesday night at 7 PM.

 

Powell County defeated Owsley County twice this season and has a 6 game win streak vs. the Owls. Owsley County's last win vs Powell County was January 29th 2013.

Owsley County plays very well on their home court, especially with their fans behind them and has been known to upset teams that their suppose to lose too (hence: Feb 27 2007...Owsley County 41-39 over Lee County...Lee County demolished Owsley County twice earlier that season) but I think Powell County will be too much for the Owls to handle...Powell by right around 10ish but I would not be one bit surprised to see Owsley win.

Well, I hope Owsley can win. Powell has defeated the Owls twice this year but both games were competitive. The first game I think was a 12 point Powell win, but it was about a 6 point lead by Powell with only a few minutes left and Owsley was forced to foul which expanded Powell's lead.

 

The tournament is at Owsley and I've got my maroon glasses on, so I'm going to pick the Owls to win by 1 point.
