Got myself in a pickle - UK tickets

Featured Replies

Maybe a BGP member can help me out with advice . I bought two UK - Florida tix offstub hub and right after I completed the transaction I noticed in the fine print " student ID required" . So I immediately called them but they wouldn't cancel the transaction . So do I stand a chance of getting in with no student ID ? I could resale but doubt I'll find a student wiling to drop 360 for a pair of lowers . They were not end zone tix and I never considered there were student tix on the side line . I know I screwed up , anyway to fix my mess ? I'm 48, and while young at heart can't pass for a 20 year old .

Tough spot to be in for sure, it's definitely impossible to get in without the id. The student line is actually different than the main entrance and there is always someone there to check your id and ticket when you come in and marks your ticket. Then if that wasn't bad enough there is someone else who will check to make sure you have a marked ticket once you make it into the student section.

I borrowed a buddies UK ID back for the college game day game again Tennessee the Wall/cousins year. Got past the main entrance but had to scramble to find my ticket once I got to eruption zone. Finally I found it in my back pocket and made my way down to seats two rows off the floor, but I definitely had to sweat it.

My wife bought UK tickets for my birthday. She ordered off the mobile site which didn't pop up the disclosures (that say these are student tickets like it does on a PC), so short story the same thing happen to me. Students tickets cost like $5 so she paid WELL over that so no chance of selling them to get your money back, they clearly say "Student ID required" on them. Here is what I done, it required for me to spend a little more money (which you may not want to do) but I purchased some nose bleed seats for a lot cheaper price to get me in the door, than pulled out the other tickets went to lower arena. The ushers never ask to see any student ID. I have been told by the box office that they never ask to see them unless your are in the E-Zone.

That's your best bet. This happened to a family friend. The gate keepers are told to make sure every one has a student id. I'm a 2013 grad and this is something that was really a priority once the demand went through the roof for tickets.

Good advice.

If anyone wants to part with 1 or 2 florida tix let me know . I'm going to try to purchase 1-2 nose bleeds to be able to set in the tickets I paid for .
