Ok, I'll say it...huge gamble. He looks like a decent OVC player to me.

Couldn't believe it when I read the article on his commitment. Pitino's basically desperate at this point for anyone who can put a ball into a net from more than six feet away.

He had the space and pulled the trigger. He's not coming in with expectations of carrying the team so I can't really fault Pitino on this one. If he turns into a player like Tim Henderson, then it was worth the effort as far as I'm concerned.

Having big timers like Blackshear simply not pan out has been the Cardinals' bigger problem as of late.

I think it's fine to have a shooter on the roster but I'm afraid any Card fans who are expecting this kid to come in and play big minutes and score a lot of points are going to be disappointed.

Definitely agree with that. I have absolutely no expectations for him apart from hoping he can become a solid bench contributor across four years. Fans that do should re-evaluate the way they look at players.

I saw some video after his commitment. He looks to be about 5'11" and 140 pounds. I think Trent Gilbert might even be in a higher weight class than him at this point.

I agree this appears to be a desperation act. Paul bincardi(sp?) Of ESPN believes he will come in and contribute offensively right away.

I noticed he was dunking pretty easily so he's at least athletic but I'm not sure he's 6'2" or whatever they have him listed at.

Dukie V. has been promoting this kid for a while.
