Turnovers are a huge problem when you average amongst the fewest possessions per game in America. You're exactly right. I think they are something like 330th in the country in number of possessions per game.

 

Saw an amazing stat today Gametime: in AAC play, UC averages less than 60 possessions and turns it over 23% of them. To your point above, they are shooting it very well both from 2PT and from 3PT, just not getting up enough shots. Those numbers (possessions and turnovers) are even worse than I imagined. Makes it really hard to keep good teams down enough to beat them, for sure.

UC averages 106 points per 100 possessions. Xavier 114, UK 118.

 

UK averages 63 possessions per game (286 in the country). Xavier 67.

 

UK turns it over 17% of their possessions. Xavier 17%.
