Would you trade Dalton for RG3?

Dalton hasn't been elite but he has clearly achieved more thus far in the NFL than RG3... To me, it would send a horrible message to guys in the locker room to make a move like that. Even you (FC) have pointed out several times that most of the Bengals' best receivers were out or hurt most of the season.... Not to mention, it was their first year with Hue as OC. I say, give Dalton this last year that contractually the Bengals are on the hook for. Second year with Hue, hope for healthy receivers and tight ends and offensive line...

Then, if Dalton doesn't get it done.... Move on.

Which I agree the receivers being hurt didn't help his overall numbers. If they were healthy Dalton's overall numbers would have looked better. With that said, the way he looked in big games or prime time games looked the same as every other season. I don't know if he tries to hard now in big games, thinks to much or what. However he does not looked relaxed at all in big games. So that's only a problem he can fix, and I figured over time it would. However after 4 seasons now it is still a big problem with him. So no matter what we have around him, he just doesn't seem to have the mental makeup to make throws when they matter most. Which if you want to win in the playoffs your QB doesn't have to be perfect, but does have to make the throws when they matter most. He has shown he can't do that. I have no idea if RG3 can, however I don't think the moment would get to him like it does Dalton.
