Who ever left after the NewCath/Elliott Co. game missed one hell of an exciting HS hoops game.

 

Congrats to Owen Co on pulling it out.

 

Shelby Valley played their butts off to come back and take the lead late, GREAT effort men, nothing to be ashamed of. :ylsuper:

Great ballgame to listen to and follow the updates. I like this Owen County team. They are hard to turn over, play adequate defense, and have the big man, Williams, who can score and handle the ball well also. He is not their only good player, which makes him double-dangerous.

 

The Rebels were woeful at the free-throw line, something like 8 of 23, but still found a way to win in OT.

 

Shelby Valley played well, diggigng themselves out of a huge ealy game hole.

 

Owen County may have been the better team to survive, as SV's Newsome came out of the game with a badly sprained ankle, and would not have been 100% on Saturday.

Good win for Owen Co....not everything went their way (like the free throws, and struggling mightily against the zone in the middle of the game), and they still found a way to pull it out.
