Just trying to plan ahead and I have looked on KHSAA, Riherds, BOKC site, NKysports.com and could not find it. Probably user error but I could use the info.

 

I am sure it's out there and I missed it but what days (exact days and dates) are the opening rounds, semi's and finals of the 9th Region Boys at BOKC?

 

Is it the week immediately before state or is there a week in between?

 

State tourney is March 18-22

The boys and girls regionals are being held March 2 - March 10. Not sure which days are boys and girls but traditionally the state tourney held first goes first as far as the first round games on that Monday and Tues., then Weds and Thurs are first round games for the opposite group.

 

Fri and Sat are semi and finals followed by Monday and Tues being semi and finals.

 

Since the boys tourney is the 18th-22nd my assumption is the girls would be the 11th-15th which means they would play the 2nd 3rd 6th and 7th and the boys would play 4th,5th then 9th and 10th.

KHSAA says March 18-22 for Boys state. (Tentative) but the Lexington Hotels are charging as if those dates are firm.

As a side note, I know Louisville is hosting the NCAA tournament that Thur/Fri Sat/Sun but I doubt that would affect the finalized dates of the Sweet Sixteen.

According to this it seems as though the Sweet 16 will always be held the same weekend that the NCAA Tournament starts. Unless of course Rupp is hosting games.
