Big Three in the 9th?

Featured Replies

Holmes, Holy Cross, and Highlands are seen as the big three in the 9th region. All teams bring different styles of play.

What are your thoughts on the three teams?

Toss up. Any of those 3 can beat the either 2 in the 9th region tourney.

Agree with Clyde. And we can talk about it all day, but it won't mean a thing until they play again. It will be all about adjustments in the region. Who got the most out of the match ups this week and I'm not talking about who won the games. I mean, who learns from the contests and takes that with them to the region and uses it to their advantage. Also the NKU floor is larger than the courts we all play on, so will that have any factor?

I believe Holmes could really step there game up a notch or two if a couple of things occur! It's getting late in the year but in order to win it all they must develop a half court game with patience, movement and better shot selection! The second thing is the Holmes coaching staff gets to caught up with the whistles, you can't coach your kids if the staff is constantly arguing calls. This also rubs off on the girls. Out of these three teams I think Holmes has the most room for improvement!

I agree To a point Rimbuster all three teams are going to have to make adjustments for the next time around these teams aren't the big 3 for no reason these coaches and players will be able to adapt to the adjustments and the girls 9th region tournament will be an explosive one for sure!
