January 23, 201511 yr Let it Ride is a "carnival" game offered by the casino. These carnival games are not for making a living, but they are good for huge jackpots if your lucky enough to hit one. On January 17th the jackpot progressive amount for a royal flush was over $83,000. You put $1 in the red lighted circle which is the only way to get progressive amounts. It is also good for 4 of a kind, straights, flushes, full house, obviously paying lesser amounts for these hands. One patron was lucky enough to get the ROYAL FLUSH but did not have their $1 in the circle therefor not collecting the $83,000, but did get paid around $8,000 for the bets he had on the table. Everybody at that table received $1,000 for "envy" money paid by the casino because of the royal flush. Too cheap to put in $1 cost this person $83,000. WOW!!!
January 23, 201511 yr Isn't that the only reason you play those games? I always put up the $1 so I never have to have that "if I'd only..." feeling.
January 23, 201511 yr If you play the those games with progressive jackpots you should throw the minimum on it. But I wouldn't recommend those add on games without progressive jackpots like they have on black jack.

January 25, 201511 yr It's like playing a slot machine and playing the minimum bet instead of playing for the jackpot. It's impossible to win long term so why aren't you playing for the big money. As my dad always told me, any new game you see put into a casino, you can bet the odds are incredibly stacked against the player.
January 25, 201511 yr I'd say the progressive part is paid by the players over a period of time. I doubt the casino can take much of a player paid progressive pot, but I really don't know.

Let it ride has a house advantage of around 4%,blacjack is around 3% craps around 3%. The good thing about let it ride , if you don't like your hand you can "pull back" 2 of your 5 bets. With your 3 cards and the dealers 2 cards, here are the odds. There are other odds just for the 3 cards in your hand, but don't have time to post right now. Your 5 card odds: Royal Flush 1 in 649,740 Straight Flush 1 in 72,193 4 of a kind 1 in 4,165 Full House 1 in 694 Flush 1 in 509 Straight 1 in 255 3 of a kind 1 of 47 Two pair 1 in 21 Any Pair 1 in 2 I agree 55, but not incredibly stacked. Caribean Stud has the biggest house odds among all table games. CS the dealer must have a qualifying hand as well as you having a better hand to get paid. The qualifying dealer hand is they must have ace-king or better, if not, you don't get paid no matter what you have. I hate this game and never play it.
January 25, 201511 yr The reason carribean stud has a large house favor is because the inventor gets a cut of every hand played. Less and less casinos offer it.
January 25, 201511 yr Found it interesting in Vegas they have moved away from that $1 system. Now it's $5 for some other long shot opportunity with a smaller reward.
