The OSU win should mean a definite and immediate expansion of the playoffs

At MAXIMUM 6 teams. The Big 5 conference winners and a wild card. Seeds 1 and 2 get byes.

 

I'm just not sure that 16 teams need to play (potentially) 16 games.

I agree with this format if any expansion of the playoffs, certainly not 16 teams. This four team format already has the two finalist playing 15 games and is going deeper into the college basketball season. We need to remember that this isn't the NFL. After all, remember these guys are still students that have actual classes to attend. I really don't think that it will change for around four years if it does. I think they will look at this one longer to see how it is working after a few more games. jmo

Besides ... that (expansion) would just mean that the Ohio State Buckeyes may win even more games :eek: and the NCAA couldn't risk what that would do to the majority of the BGP members, their obvious disdain for OSU along with a chance of them winning more could cause heads to explode .
