Smallhoops
A frigid Thursday night brings us the semi-finals of the 15th Region All A Classic at the Eastern Kentucky Expo Center. In the first game scheduled to tipoff at 6:00, Shelby Valley (9-4 on the season) takes on South Floyd (3-11). These teams already have played twice, with Shelby Valley prevailing both times (81-54 on Dec. 1 and 67-59 on December 30). Might the third time be the charm for the Raiders from South Floyd? In the nightcap scheduled for 7:30, Betsy Layne (10-5) squares off against Pikeville (9-7). Pikeville was the winner 67-51 when these teams played in Pikeville on December 9. Will the Bobcats fare better on a neutral floor? Good luck to all four teams.

Wireman
Apparently it doesn't take much to impress the KHSAA scoreboard.
Smallhoops
According to the KHSAA scoreboard, Betsy Layne has already won. The KHSAA scoreboard proved prescient on this one, as Betsy Lane prevailed over Pikeville 52-49 at the Expo Center. In the first game, South Floyd played tough but fell to Shelby Valley 56-53. So it will be Shelby Valley v. Betsy Layne in the regional finals tonight for the right to advance to the All A Classic state tournament. Should be a good one.
