January 4, 201511 yr The winner of the Week #5 contest is MNCM, who scored 12 out of a possible 18 points. A tiebreaker was needed as MNCM, Can'tcoach, & TTS_JF each finished with 12 points. The final score of the Oklahoma/Baylor game was 73-63, for a total of 136 points. MNCM's guess of 135 points was closer than both Can'tcoach (144) & TTS_JF (128). As always the contest is not final for 24 hrs. All contestants have 24 hours to report any errors. Once it is final, the winner should consult the contest thread to claim their prize (Click here). His 12 points is the lowest total for a winner this season, but it's still good enough for some BGP gear. Congrats, MNCM! :thumb: * Great seeing PurpleZilla92 return to action this week. Our pizza loving friend finished with 9, which ironically is also how many tacos he had today. * TTS_JF recovered from a rowdy New Year's Eve to very nearly pull off the victory this week, but alas, it was not to be. * It's too bad Can'tcoach failed to win this week. #NoIt'sNot * It's too bad Can'tcoach leads the Overall Season Standings. #YesItIs * No mcpapa this week. His wife probably forgot to remind him. * A lot of people got the 5-point game right, but there were bunches & bunches of 3-point game misses. The Villanova/Seton Hall game hurt a lot of you, as did the South Carolina upset of Iowa State.
January 5, 201511 yr All right. I took the overall season lead which aggravates RP to no end and makes my lead all the sweeter.
January 5, 201511 yr I have no clue how I missed the week I missed but I did it to myself. I definitely didn't miss it on purpose. Put myself behind the 8 ball.
January 5, 201511 yr Author I have no clue how I missed the week I missed but I did it to myself. I definitely didn't miss it on purpose. Put myself behind the 8 ball. Frustrating. Had you played, you would've gotten an 18 & would therefore have 70 in the Overall Season Standings, putting you at a tie with the other guy.
January 5, 201511 yr Wow! I could see myself going 0 for 10 with next week's picks. They all look like toss ups to me.
January 5, 201511 yr Author I could see myself going 0 for 10 with next week's picks. My fingers are crossed.
