Android device question

So we bought both of out kids Samsung tablets for Christmas. I've always used Apple products so there is a learning curve for me on these. One question I have...is there way to require a password in order to down load any Ap, free or one that cost? I found how to to do it for pay aps but not free.

Not to my knowledge on the free apps but I'd have to double check.

looking for a way to keep them from doing that. On Apple devices you have to enter iTunes password to download anything. I would like the same setting on their Samsung tablets.

I believe you can just set up your play account to NOT save your password, which means they'd have to have the password to even access it. Mine is linked to my Gmail account. The quickey way to block it is to change my Google account password, which means they'd need to enter the password upon accessing the play account.
