Been to plenty of Bengal games in the past and have seen them honoring local state champs from ohio and Kentucky. This year only heard that LaSalle made the game Monday night. Why wasn't the birds present?

They had Highlands on the big screens when they mentioned local state champs. Not sure if they did anything more than that.

I was doing my traditional last minute Christmas shopping yesterday while wearing my Highlands jacket, a coach from Lasalle noticed it and came up to me and said "where were you guys Monday night" he went on to say everyone kept asking why Highlands wasn't on the field with the other state champ from the area. I of course had no answer to his question as I'm very curious myself. He went on to tell me about the great respect Lasalle has for Highlands and it would have been an honor to share the limelight Monday night with such a school.

While watching the pregame show on ESPN, I noticed LaSalle lined up on the back of the end zone. Texted my brother right away since he was at the game, and said sure enough, LaSalle was there on the field and then they sat behind their seats in the plaza area. How cool was that for those young men from LaSalle. Bengals playing on MNF with Peyton Manning in the house. And a win to boot!

 

Not sure why Highlands was not there. I do know in the past, when they won State, the Bengals graciously invited the Birds to attend a game and be recognized. LaSalle was there so who knows what may have happened.

Maybe Highlands doesnt like the Bengals or Denver...IDK :thumb:
