Marshall (12-1) out of CUSA will meet Northern Illinois from the MAC in the Boca Raton Bowl on Tues, 12/23.

Who Ya Got ?

I'll pick Marshall with their powerful offense over NIU.

Marshall 38

NIU 27

This is going to be a great game. Not a lot of people know this but NIU has a winning record versus Big Ten schools the last few years.

They are a very good MAC program. NIU has an excellent RB. I also live approx. 20 miles from the Marshall stadium and do keep up with them. The Marshall (literally ashes to glory) story from the 1970 plane crash that killed all but one or two players who didn't make the trip, coaches and administrator-AD is a great story. A kid that stared on our local Raceland H.S. football team is a jr / starter on the O line for Marshall.

I will take Marshall.

Competed against the "Big Swede" at a weightlifting meet held at Raceland a few years ago. The dude is a beast!! And a heck of a piece for that Marshall offense. They've been very potent this year and Johansson(?) does a great job of protecting Cato along with the rest of the OL.

He obviously still is a beast, as for his weight lifting now I am not sure on what his max is on bench press but I was told that he is pressing 20 reps at around 270 lb.'s . .....that's impressive for a "routine workout".

Very impressive... He deadlifted 550 that day in Raceland's old gymnasium, and obviously, then at 17 or 18 years old, he still had plenty of room to get much stronger.
