December 27th:

 

6:00 PM Nelson County vs. Tates Creek (Main Gym)

7:30 PM Rockcastle County vs. Estill County (Main Gym)

 

6:00 PM Henry Clay vs. Marion County (Aux Gym)

7:30 PM Bethlehem vs. Sheldon Clark (Aux Gym)

Unless something has changed and I wasn't made aware of it — which happens sometimes — the lower bracket first-round games are at Old Kentucky Home Middle School.

I hope the Nelson County girls are healthy next week. I saw they had to drop out of the Lexington Catholic tournament due to illness/flu.

I hope the Nelson County girls are healthy next week. I saw they had to drop out of the Lexington Catholic tournament due to illness/flu.

 

They had six kids out with flu which caused them to drop out of LexCath, in addition to two other players still with lingering injuries. They started out the season with a starter and a reserve out with soccer injuries from the region finals, and another projected starter injured. A week later, another starter went out with a concussion, and now the flu bug hits.

 

NC will be glad to have December overwith. I've never seen anything like it with the bad luck they've had.
