Iroquois 39 Clay County 33

No one had posted this score, so I am ... nice win for the Lady Raiders. They weren't quite ready for prime time last year, but they have a chance to make a big splash this week.

Sorry to hear that Clay County lost but I thought that Iroquois' speed and the fact that it was on a bigger floor would hurt the Lady Tigers.

 

I will say that if anyone that follows girls HS basketball in Kentucky would have been told that Clay County held Iroquois to 39 points then they would have thought Clay County would have won.

 

Great win for Iroquois.

 

Great season for Clay County too. You girls had a tremendous season and sent Coach Gray into retirement with a bang by making it to the Sweet 16.

I'd say that he's done by what he's told ALL the newspapers that's covering the state tournament.

Mountain basketball for the girls looked down this year and the Sweet 16 has confirmed this.

Clay Co played a bad game against Iroquois, anyone that has watched them this year could tell you they were 1 one of the top teams in the state.

Gilbert carried the load for Clay all year.

Yeah Gilbert carried the load all year they are no doubt about that.... I hope Gilbert gets a good College Scholorship like she so deserves..
