Final.

I only saw the 2nd half. Not a pretty half, but an exciting one.

Both teams used the press often to create turnovers and it worked. Back and forth all game. Kelsch and McCord both fouling out was huge for Augusta. Not having their leaders out there down the stretch cost The lady Panthers at the end.

Anybody have scoring totals on this one?

BRACKEN COUNTY 44, AUGUSTA 43

A:14;12;8;9—43

BC:12;14;6;12—44

A: Kennard 5, Garrett 3, Hay 2, McCord 9, J. Kelsch 20, Rolph 4. Totals 43.

BC: Collins 6, Ruf 7, Florer 2, Deaton 4, Cummins 18, Kalb 2, Jones 5. Totals 44.

Records: Augusta 1-2, Bracken County 3-0.

Lady Bears edge Lady Panthers

Was this part of a boy/girl doubleheader? I see the boys score of Augusta 63 Bracken County 60.

If so, what a great idea!

It would be great if more schools adopted this idea. I know you would lose a gate, but you might attract other people who otherwise might not attend.

Yes it was.

They have been doing this for a few years, an event called "Shoot For The Cure" to raise money for cancer research. Cancer survivors are honored, there is a ceremony between games, etc. Nice event for the community. Really nice crowd last night & two highly competitive games.

2 games decided by a total of 4 points. Lady Bears win by 1 and Polar Bears lose by 3
