Big win for the Tigers on the road. Blake smith was a beast tonight. 30 pts 8 rebounds. Farmer had a double double with 15 and 11. House had 14. Clay is a double digit better team on a neutral floor. Nobody on floor could guard Smith tonight. He had his way all night. Farmer was knocking down jumpers and a beast on the boards.

How did Taylor from Corbin look and who else did their scoring?

Taylor looked really good in the second half, had 23 of his 27 then. Clay was in controll for most of the game with a double digit lead from 2nd quarter on. Refs got Corbin back close in the 4th but Clay just had to much offense. I will say this Corbin plays hard and i really like their team. Smith didn't guard Taylor all night either which is one reason why he put up so many points but the kid can flat out play. But in all honesty Smith really stood out tonight no one could guard him, he either scored or drawed fouls everytime he touched the ball. When he went down the lane and tried to dunk over 2 corbin players i couldn't believe it. Had they not fouled him it was gonna be the best high school dunk ive ever seen.

I think Clay has the potential to be really good. They have alot of offensive weapons and Farmer can really shoot it. When they learn to rebound and play with intensity on all posessions they will be hard to beat.

Corbin had no answer for Smith last night, he either scored or got fouled. I'm sure they will try something if they happen to meet again in the region, not sure what will work though. Corbin's overall defense needs to improve if they want to make any noise in the postseason.

Corbin needs Hopper to get into the flow, may take a while due to starting so late due to football. He showed some flashes last night and had some good looks, although his shots just are not falling yet. Maguet has not really settled into his offensive role yet either, but has played good defensively. Hopefully Barnes will be back soon as well, was playing well before his injury.

Clay Co. seemed to get tired in the 4th quarter and Corbin took advantage of their tired legs to get into the lane much easier and score, but just could not buy anything from the outside to close the gap all the way.

Coach P. Last night said Barnes was out for the year. He's gonna have shoulder surgery in the near future. Wish the kid the best and a full recovery.
