Purple88 Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Letter | Family thanks WKU I don't know Tyler or his family or his Trinity connections or if his story has been on this site before, but it is truly one that you will say "That's What It's All About". The article link above goes into more detail as Tyler, who I believe played football for Trinity, got a full ride scholarship to WKU and then 1 week after his first practice went home for Father's Day and was nearly killed in a car wreck. After battling the health issues to even come back to school, the WKU coaches that recruited him spoke to President Ransdall and they paid for his tuition by letting Tyler work with the football team. Coach Brohm was instrumental in this as well. I believe Tyler has since passed, but his family sent the attached letter to the Courier Journal to say Thank You! I do believe that's what it's all about! :thumb:

rockmom Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Tyler was killed a few weeks ago in a house fire in Bowling Green. My heart aches for the English family.
