31 yd run by Jordan Tyler for a Mayfield TD, PAT is good.. With 10:33 to go in 1st qtr, Mayfield 7 Caverna 0..

Caverna starts its 1st possession at its own 20 and picks up a couple of 1st downs, but, gives it up on downs and Mayfield takes over at midfield for its 2nd possession.

Mayfield scores on a Arnett to TE McCampbell pass, PAT is good, 14-0 Cards with about 3:00 to go in 1st qtr..

Caverna again takes over at its own 20 on its next possession and completes a big pass into Mayfield territory and another couple of 1st downs and finally scores on a 4th and 12 pass from the 22 yd line.. They went for 2 pt conversion that fails.. 11:53 to go in 2nd qtr, 14-6 Mayfield.. Caverna came to play tonight and are having some success moving the ball, mainly thru the air..

Caverna tries an onside kick, but Mayfield recovers at about midfield.. 2 plays later, Bright takes it in to the endzone from 38 yds out.. PAT is good.. Mayfield 21 Caverna 6 with 11:21 to go in 2nd qtr..

Caverna takes over on ensuing kickoff at its own 21 yd line..

Caverna picks up 1 on 1st down, incomplete pass on 2nd down, QB scrambles for a 1st down to the 34..

A hold penalty makes it 1st and 16.. Caverna gets aided by a 10 yd pass interference call, making it 1st and 3 at the 42.. A pickup of 1 on 1st down.. Caverna picks up 2 to the 45 yd line and another 1st down.

Incomplete pass on 1st down, on 2nd and 10, a 5 yd delay of game penalty on Caverna, on 2nd and 15, a complete pass for 8 yds, on 3rd and 7, no gain. On 4th down, Caverna goes for it again, but, calls a timeout..

On 4th down, a completion but it comes up a little short and Mayfield takes over..

Arnett hits Bacon on 1st down for a 50 yd score.. PAT is good... 6:41 to go in 2nd qtr, Mayfield now leads 28-6..

Caverna's not having any luck stopping Mayfield, but, they're doing a pretty good job offensively and making the Cards work on the defensive end.

Halftime score : Mayfield 49 Caverna 18.. The Card offense hitting on all cylinders but defense giving up 18 pts can't make the coaching staff very happy..
