I haven't had the chance to see CCH since the HHS game. I don't remember soph LB Shelton playing MLB. When did he take over that position and allow Pitzer to move to OLB which seems to be a better spot for him? I like the potential of Shelton.

If you've watched Cov Cath since Beechwood when both Wagner and Dressman went out, the staff was forced to change things up a bit by going with a more run heavy game with McGinnis at QB. Legs very good- arm not as much. Darlington went out early in the next game vs Ryle forcing them to bring Alex over to RB. Add to that a couple games on two sloppy fields where the pass game is a risk and the run game has developed even more. Now that Adam Wagner appears to be back in the saddle and once Darlington returns and they get all their weapons back to full strength, this wrinkle can only help with the playoff run. Alex has been a stud this year and his value can't be emphasized enough. More weapons = more options to defend = good thing.

BTW- Pitzer has been playing OLB all year. I think Sammons at MLB got dinged up a game or so ago and Shelton has stepped up nicely in that role.

OLB - depending on the Defensive formation you may have seen him slide down closer to the middle.
