The established 16th Region blue blood, Ashland, is facing the new power in the Region, Raceland in the semi-finals of the 16th Region tournament at Boyd Co. High School. Raceland has only lost 1 game to a Regional opponent in 2 years (Rowan Co.) and look to make it back to the State Tourn. again this year. Any thoughts?

Played in a Lexington tourn with top teams in state, played in a King of the Mountains tourn with top teams from NE Tenn, VA and Eastern KY. Plus, we played Southern Ohio's best.

Records meant one more Raceland win and vollleycats Loss in this one. I am sure that the Raceland girls took your obvious slam / disrespect of them in consideration though.

It's not opinion, it's fact - look up the teams that participated in said tourney and compare it with the state rankings, and you will see that your are incorrect in your statement.

The only problem with rankings in volleyball is the voters are not spread out in the State. While I admit, EKY volleyball is not as strong as the Western part of the State, Raceland has played a pretty good schedule. We have went and played in tournaments and pre-season camps and prepared as well as we can for the State Tournament. As I said previously, oldrambler can hype Raceland and excite the fan base however he likes. He is entitled to his opinion. Yours has been duly noted as well.
