Yes, NCC drew the best district loser, a team they to beat. NCC lost to Beechwood. Was NCC hoping to draw Dixie?

 

And Cooper lost to all 3 possible 1st round teams - ND, St. Henry, and NCC. But won the most sets against NCC. I don't see how there was a better draw for them.

I think if given the choice of drawing Dixie, Beechwood or Cooper that NCC would have preferred Dixie, then Beechwood (even though they lost to them as they were missing starters) and then Cooper (even though they beat them in 5).

 

But it really does not matter because eventually all roads go thru ND

Ryle students use of twitter to make banter about the volleyball team is nothing new. Last year, before the Regional Final, there were what could be construed as threats, against the NDA team, in the PC society we live in. No one reported anything, but it was a little over the top.

 

I am sure this is not condoned by Coach Tanner or the school but they certainly can't control every idiot out there. I am not implying that the tweet referenced in this thread is in any way inappropriate, just seeing it made me think of the past.

 

At one point in the regular season match up between NDA and Ryle, there were 11 NKYVC athletes on the floor competing against each other for their respective high school. These girls are good friends off the court and spend their entire off seasons together. I am sure the players want to win just as badly vs each other as they want to win every match. Coach Tanner runs a clean program as does NDA and the kids have respect for one another. I just wish Ryle fans would show some class on twitter.
