Yeah both teams played good, didnt seem like either team had a good shooting night...I must say that was the most BORING game I have watched all year, but I must say very smart ideal for Coach Parsons to slow down the game.. Good Game Lady Tigers!! Good LUck in Bowling GreeN!!

Coach Parsons and her staff came up with a defensive scheme that gave them an opportunity to win the game, but they just could not knock down their open shots to be able to stay the distance in the zone. You have to give the Clay Co. team credit for staying patient and doing what it took to win this game.

 

If a couple of Corbin shots that went down and popped back out would have stayed down, the Lady Hounds would not have had to come out of their zone with 3:00 to go and down by 5 points. Clay started running some clock with about 4:30 left in the game leading by 5, they were able to get out of a couple of hard traps, once with a T.O. and the other on a jump ball that went back to Clay. Corbin had to take the gamble to get out of the zone and went man-to-man which resulted in Gilbert and the other Lady Tigers getting to the line and knocking them down. Clay pushed the lead out at the FT line and the Lady Hounds continued to miss at the other end

 

Congratulations to the Lady Hounds on a fantastic season and also to the Clay Co. Lady Tigers for being able to start out on top and finish that way, which is never an easy task! Good luck at State!!!

 

Does anyone have any of the team shooting stats for this game?

yeah I would like to know some stats, neither team shot great tonight..which they didnt shoot alot...I thought Corbin played the best Defence I have seen all year except for lexington Catholic, Coach Parson is a great Coach and has did a great job this year!

I tell ya I was 100 percent for the Lady Tigers, but its hard to watch girls like Sutten,Aitkens, and Clouse be so tore up at the end.. Girls you are great ball players and they are no reason to hang your head down you have had a great season!
