Yellow Card Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) Heard that St Henry scored 3 early goals and CRUised to the easy win. Nice win for them, and NKY, love to see local teams do well in other parts of the state. Edited October 1, 2014 by Yellow Card
whatsalenyou Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 So much for the Maher rankings. This game was never really close. Male seemed disinterested at times. They were caught flat-footed on a corner where no one moved at all including the player who scored on the header from around the 18, then again on a set piece in the second half. Activity level for St. Henry was much better last night. Good to see them score a few...most they have scored since last year. I hope this gets then rolling going forward, but I am afraid that Male may have been overrated.
Sir! Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Maher is predictive, not determinative. A Maher #50 over a Maher #41 separated by 0.84 Maher points... is not a huge upset, but certainly a nice win. And I love seeing a NKY team beat a Lou or Lex team. Way to go CRU!
WatThe Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 St. Henry goals by Lannon, Sanders, Green, Wells.

But probably not predictive of a 4-1 scoreline.
Yellow Card Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 But probably not predictive of a 4-1 scoreline. Definitely not, if you simply go off of the data, and where the match was played... Male would have been almost a 2 goal favorite. For what it's worth, this win will help bump St Henry up in the next Maher poll. This also makes NKY soccer look better than what I think we get credit for in, and around, the Lexington/Louisville areas.
