I have always wondered why y'all post jv scores. Does it really matter?

Depending on where your program is, it can tell you alot. The JV guys are preparing for varsity. If they do well, it should give you a good indication that the departing seniors will likely be replaced by guys who were a part of a successful junior squad. And ultimately how bright you think the future of you team is. Plus it passes the time until the next Friday.

Thanks...I don't have any problem with it. I wouldn't put too much stock in jv scores though. Most jv games here are not that structured. Many times they don't even turn the scoreboard on.

That was probably because JTown came with a skeleton of a squad. Freshman play 8 minutes. JV play 10

Harper started the Ensworth game and Young relieved him after 3 or 4 series. Same with the Cocoa game last Friday. Young was knocked out of the Carmel game with a concussion in the 2nd half and missed the Imhotep game and Colerain game due to concussion.

So Sophomore Larry Harper III is the backup varsity QB?

i don't think we put a lot of stock in jv games from the standpoint of my jv team beat your jv team or my jv team is undefeated and we think our varsity team will be undefeated next year because of it. Just that we have some good solid players coming up the ranks and are glad they have a chance to develop and really prepare to be good varsity players.
